NVDC PAPERWORK (WORK PACKET) STATUS INQUIRY
Beginning Friday, October 10, 2014, the National Vessel Documentation Center (NVDC) will provide the ability for customers to electronically search for the receipt status of their paperwork to verify documentation received and entered into the IT system, awaiting processing.
To access the program, click the Paperwork Status Inquiry link in the left pane on this site, then click the Paperwork Status Inquiry hyperlink. After navigating to the next page, click the Work Packet Search tab, and enter an Official Number, Hull Identification Number (HIN) or Manufacturer Hull Number and click the Search button or Enter key.
Click the View Details link next to the vessel name.
Data available to the customer will include the type of work item(s) received (Initial Application, Deletion, Notice of Claim of Lien, Exchange, Reinstatement, Return to Documentation, Instrument Mortgage, Instrument Satisfaction, Other Request, etc.), the File Date, and the Method by which received (Mail, Email, Fax) for each type of work item.
A link to the NVDC Case Processing Dates will also be readily available under the Featured Links header and will provide customers with the most up-to-date information pertaining to the current processing date of the specific items.
Data will be updated on a nightly basis, so data submitted electronically will not be displayed until the following day. Customers are encouraged to utilize this program prior to contacting the facility.
